12. Eligibility Criteria for the Engineer Program in Japan
To participate in the engineer employment program in Japan, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have graduated from a college or university with a major relevant to the hiring company’s requirements, such as IT, mechanical engineering, electrical-electronics, construction, design, automation, etc. -
Japanese Language Proficiency:
Candidates must have at least JLPT N4 (or equivalent), depending on the company’s requirements. Some companies require N3 or higher for better workplace communication. -
Visa Requirements:
Candidates must not have previously applied for an engineer visa to Japan (except in special cases).
Former technical interns must comply with re-entry regulations and meet the conditions for visa conversion. -
Health Requirements:
Candidates must meet Japan’s health standards and not have infectious diseases or conditions that restrict entry. -
Other Requirements:
Candidates must fulfill all conditions specified in the hiring company’s job announcement.
They should have teamwork skills, logical thinking, and the ability to adapt to Japan’s work environment.
